We are looking for a Mathematical Optimization Consultant who will work with the core solution team to develop the ideal optimization solution for customer needs.

The ideal candidate has a strong interest in operations research and optimization, building up mathematical models to address business issues, applying optimization techniques such as column generation, branch and price, brand & bound, linear programing, mixed integer linear programming etc.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive effective optimization solutions.
• Develop and implement optimization models and algorithms to support decision-making related to finance, supply chain or renewable energy resources.
• Analyze market data, operation data to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Collaborate with teams and other stakeholders as needed to understand market dynamics, risk factors, and business objectives etc.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of optimization models, making necessary adjustments and enhancements as required.
• Work with program and/or data scientists to develop and enhance optimization tools and systems.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate optimization results and recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone with 3+ years of experience mathematical optimization, has a Master or Bachelor in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field, and is familiar with the following items:

• Experience in linear programming(LP), mixed integer programming(MIP), quadratic programming(QP), large scale optimization, decomposition techniques.
• Coding knowledge and experience with Python, R and SQL
• Experience in IBM ILOG CPLEX, OPL Language will be an advantage.
• Proactive, performance-driven and results-oriented.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Presentation skills with good command of English and Chinese in both spoken and written.
